Tie it twice, the the third time only pull it through half way.

2 Braids---part your hair down the middle. For each section, seperate hair into three parts and braid.

If your hair is long enough, try this:

1) pull your hair back, like you were going to make a ponytail

2) wrap it around the base of the tail (like a bun)

3) use a pair of hair sticks to secure it (in a pinch you can use a pencil)

--It'll kind of fall out a little, but it'll look really cute and should work with your hair. Mine is really fine and slides out of everything I've tried except for this.
