What can I do to style my curly, frizzy, thick, dry hair...?

My hair hangs a little past my shoulders when curly. It acts dry even though my scalp is oily. I wash it every day. I have tried sooo many products. I even bought an expensive straightening iron which works great - except it takes an hour. Another problem is I live in a very humid area, and my hair is so unmanageable in the summer that I have to wear it back in a bun. My hair is beautiful when it's wet, but 5 minutes after I'm out of the shower it starts getting frizzy. Please help! I am 29 and sick of this!!

100%, definatley mousse. it will make your hair look like as if it was wet but only that it would be hard and dry. MOUSSE!!! MOUSSE!!

well i also have frizzy hair taht is curly and is on my shoulders i use after the shower a herbel sences good bye frizzness i think and it does the job for me just a lil goes a long way you can find it at local cvs's or walmarts it really works!

i have really curly hair and when it was long it was just like yours. I use Making Waves or Curls Rock by Catwalk. those work really well for me. sometimes hair cuts help keep your hair not frizzy too. theres a special anti frizz stuff by Osis too

Try all Bed Head products they can work wonders!!!!! But if you have tried i would reccomend that u should talk 2 ur hairstylist/hairdresser.

dont wash youre hair every day because it takes away the moisture........as for hydrating it try a shampoo like dove....and put egg white and curd in youre hair every few days..remember to shampoo it after a few hours...it really works!

after you get out the shower you put styling mousse on your hair and run a low hair dryer on it.

Erm... you could try bunches or buying a straightening cream and using hair straighteners so that with straight hair you have a lot more choices of style for it. John frieda frizz ease spray is fantastic... i buy it nearly all of the time and have used it alot even if my hair is straight it goes kinky and fly away when i wake up in the morning so i spray it on my hair evenly and brush it through and it goes i would say perfectly thin and straight but just keep searching for good products that you know you can trust and ask around.

Oh!! and also you could buy a summer protection spray for your hair it doesnt dry your hair out as quick as it would without using the spray.
