I really love the BedHead line, but I can't always afford it.

For cheaper brands, I use Aussie Moist shampoo and either Aussie Moist or Curly Hair conditioner. I only shampoo every other day or every third day because shampooing makes my hair frizzier. For styling, I start with Pantene curly-hair mousse and then when it is humid, I finish with Pantene curl-defining gel. Yes, I need both! I work it through my hair, set all the locks where I want them and then I don't touch my hair again! If I run my hands through it, it's going to get frizzy, but if I leave it alone, I have nice defined curls.

I never blow-dry, ever. My hair was always frizzy when I did that. When my hair is wet, I use one of those "air brushes" with the holes in the back and wide-set teeth, and I brush very slowly and gently, starting with just the bottom inch, then the bottom two inches, working up until it's all brushed out.

Moisture! Moisture! Moisture! For wavy, curly, frizzy hair it is a constant battle to keep moisturized. That is why it is difficult to keep control of it. But there are products that help, and you do not have to spend huge sums of money to do so. Whatever you do, do not believe anything that Pantene shampoos or conditioners tell you - ALL of them will dry your hair out. So will many others. Suave Humectant shampoo/conditioner is an excellent product with a great price, unlike its expensive Nexxus counterpart. Also, do not shampoo your hair everyday - it strips your follicles of essential oils. Either skip days or just use conditioner. Hot oil treatments (like VO5), Infusium which is great for split ends, and Frizz Ease products for further control can also be of help.

The absolute best is a product called Curls Up by FX Special Effects. Its an awesome curl reactivator and defrizzant. You can get it at any Walgreens, CVS, etc. You'll love it!!!
