Why is my hair like this?

I have naturally curly hair, and when I was little, they were really tight, banana curls. They aren't curly like that naturally. If I jump out of the shower, and blow dry my hair or something, it's not curly like it should be. The top is flat, and the rest is just limp. However, if I put mousse in my damp hair, and add a tiny bit of gel, wait about 15 minutes, and then blow dry it, it's curly like it used to be. How can I style my curly hair differently? What are some great products. I don't want any frizz products, they don't work. I've tried them all. I'm sick of blow drying my hair straight everyday, and putting mousse and gel in it just takes too long because I have to wait for it to dry. Any suggestions on quick, easy ways to keep my curls looking nice?

I just think it's so weird that if I take a shower, pull my hair up, and then pull it down later in the day, it's more straight than curly. But if I use products, my hair curls like crazy.

What i do is after shower, i dry the hair a bit with the towel, so that when i use the dryer it doesnt take so long.

Then, i put some foam specific for curly hair.Not a lot, just enough but well distrivuted (i dont like to put too much s*hit in my hair).

After that, i blow-dry my hair with a secific dryer with diffusor. It must be a potent one so that it doesnt take ages! Its usually done and completely dry in 5-10 minutes, depending on whether its summer or winter!

I do this with my head upside-down, so when i get straight, the hair is absolutely crazy, but dont worry, it楹搇l come down on time ;)

It's due to age and hormones

Sounds like you will just have to work harder at it now a days. If you become pregnant just watch your hormones might spark back up and your hair will become curly again
